Ladyhawke – From Dusk Til Dawn

Opening up the Human League to a whole new generation is no easy quest, but Ladyhawke seems determined to fulfil it. From Dawn Til Dusk is a fairly wholesome slab of 80s fetishism; it doesn’t build to a mighty conclusion, or drop off unexpectedly, making it that perfect mid-set DJ drop. The crystal layer of synths is permeated by the Hawke’s distinctive Kiwi accent, alleviating a rather bland backing track with a little personality. No ‘Paris Is Burning’, and definitely no “Don’t You Want Me”.
