Irish print studio RetróEire has released a new limited-edition artwork celebrating one of Dublin’s most recognisable landmarks, the Poolbeg Chimneys.

Positioned at the end of the South Wall in Dublin Bay, the towers have become an enduring visual symbol of the city, visible from beaches, bridges and streets across the capital.

Recently given a fresh coat of their distinctive red and white paint, the towers remain a defining feature of Dublin’s skyline and coastline.

RetróEire’s new print interprets the landmark through a minimal, design-led approach, highlighting the bold geometry of the towers alongside a vivid red accent that reflects their instantly recognisable colour. The artwork subtly reflects this iconic colour, highlighting the bold red detail within a minimal, design-led composition

The studio photographed the framed print on Sandymount Strand with the real towers visible in the background.

Speaking about the new release, designer Kate Swift said, “The towers are such a constant presence in Dublin. Seeing them freshly repainted felt like the perfect moment to capture them again in print.”
