Founded by Ellie Kisyombe and Michelle Darmody, Our Table aims to end a system that, among other things, still denies people living in Direct Provision the opportunity to cook and share food in the ways that matter to them.
Building on the success of their 2016 pop-up kitchen at the Project Arts Centre, the project has now set up a café/food kiosk over the next few weeks in the outdoor area of Christ Church Cathedral.
The city’s diners are invited to join Our Table in sparking change through conversations over food on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 11am to 3.00pm.
