Ireland’s first and most established trading card convention — The Ireland Card Show — returns this November for its highly anticipated Winter Edition. Taking place on Sunday, 9 November 2025, at the luxurious Conrad Hotel, Dublin 2, this one-day celebration brings together collectors, vendors, and fans from across the country for an unforgettable day of trading, nostalgia, and community.
What began as a small gathering of passionate collectors has quickly grown into Ireland’s leading hub for the trading card community — covering everything from Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering to Digimon, Basketball cards, Topps, and Panini sports cards. Whether you’re a casual fan, a lifelong collector, or a newcomer curious to learn what all the excitement is about, the Ireland Card Show offers something for everyone.
A Show Rooted in Community
The Ireland Card Show’s success lies not only in its incredible selection of cards and collectibles but also in its deep sense of community. From the very beginning back in 2023, the event has aimed to bring people together — fostering friendships, trade networks, and a shared love for the stories and art behind every card.
What began with the very first show in Castlerea on February 11th, 2023, quickly evolved into Ireland’s premier gathering for collectors. Since then, the journey has continued with four unforgettable Dublin editions — the Conrad Dublin debut on July 22nd, 2023, a follow-up show that October, and two more in 2024 on April 27th and August 31st.
Now celebrating its fifth overall event and fourth in Dublin, The Ireland Card Show proudly holds the title of Ireland’s first and longest-running trading card convention — a true home for collectors across the country. Over the years, it’s welcomed incredible guests including Veronica Taylor, the legendary voice of Ash Ketchum, and even saw Miniminter appear “in the wild” — proving that at the Ireland Card Show, you never quite know who you’ll meet next.
This year, that community spirit shines brighter than ever. The organisers have partnered with the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) to launch a unique creative collaboration, inviting NCAD students to design the official event posters for the 2025 Winter Edition. The winning designs will not only feature throughout the event but also be displayed at the venue on the day, giving visitors a chance to see first-hand the creativity and talent emerging from Ireland’s next generation of artists.

Art, Ambassadors, and Airwaves
Adding to the excitement, the Ireland Card Show is proud to welcome Gara, better known as @thegarashow, as its official event ambassador. Known for his dynamic presence in the collectibles scene and his ability to connect with audiences through energy, humour, and genuine passion, Gara embodies the enthusiasm that makes the Ireland Card Show special. Expect to see him on-site throughout the day meeting fans, hosting content, and bringing that signature hype to the Dublin collector scene.
In another first, Freedom FM joins as the official radio partner for the Ireland Card Show Winter Edition. The popular Dublin station will help build anticipation in the weeks leading up to the event with on-air mentions, interviews, and exclusive ticket giveaways — bringing the excitement of the card-collecting world to an even wider audience. On the day itself, Freedom FM will be broadcasting live from the Conrad Hotel, keeping attendees and listeners connected to the energy of the show floor.
Sponsored by Local Champions
The Ireland Card Show continues to be proudly supported by Irish businesses and community organisations who share its vision for growth and engagement.
This year’s headline sponsors include Community Credit Union, Blanchardstown & District Credit Union, and O’Brien, Coffey & MacSweeny Accountants, all of whom play a vital role in promoting local enterprise, creativity, and collaboration. Their involvement helps ensure that events like this continue to thrive — strengthening Ireland’s creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem while giving collectors a platform to connect and grow.
What to Expect on the Day
From the moment doors open at 10 a.m., the Conrad Hotel’s elegant ballroom will be transformed into a vibrant marketplace filled with vendor tables, trading zones, and pop-up experiences. Collectors can browse thousands of cards from trusted sellers, discover rare graded pieces, and even pick up sealed booster boxes, accessories, and collectibles.
The event’s trademark Buy, Sell, Trade atmosphere means you can bring your own cards to trade or sell directly with others — whether you’re hunting for a first-edition Charizard, completing a football sticker album, or swapping anime foils with fellow fans.
For those looking to add a little thrill to their day, the Ireland Card Show Raffle will feature an incredible lineup of prizes — including a vintage Pokémon Base Set booster pack, a 151 Mew Ultra-Premium Collection, graded cards, and an assortment of sealed booster packs. Every ticket offers a chance to win something special, with proceeds helping to support future community events and collaborations.

Building a National Collecting Culture
Beyond the trading tables and giveaways, the Ireland Card Show represents something bigger — the growth of a national collecting culture. In a world where hobbies increasingly happen online, events like this remind us of the joy that comes from meeting face-to-face, swapping stories, and holding pieces of nostalgia in our hands.
The show has played a leading role in reviving interest in trading cards across Ireland, inspiring pop-up events, trade nights, and local meet-ups nationwide. With future plans already in motion — including larger venues and expanded international partnerships — the Ireland Card Show continues to cement its place as the heart of Ireland’s collecting community.
