Over its short tenure Dublin Independent Fashion Week (DIFW) has blown up into a brilliantly curated, must see event for anyone interested in new, cutting edge fashion and this year’s programme is another stellar edition.
We particularly recommend Conflict To Creation, an exhibition showcasing a collection of one-of-a-kind hand made garments and artworks created from dead stock military surplus materials by WAK-O.
JAK is an Irish designer working under the brand name WAK-O, creating one-of-a-kind handmade garments using original pattern designs and sustainable making practices.
WAK-O was created during JAK’s studies at Belfast Metropolitan College in 2023 and since then he has opened multiple pop-up shops and won the King’s Trust Enterprise Award for Northern Ireland.
