Posted September 30, 2022 in Competitions

We’re buzzing for the return of the Belfast International Arts Festival, which this year celebrates its milestone 60th edition with over 300 uplifting, joyous and thought-provoking events across Belfast. And to celebrate we’ve got a great competition for you!

The Prize

Win an overnight stay for two, including breakfast, on Tuesday 25 October in the stylish Ramada by Wyndham Belfast, in the heart of Belfast’s buzzing Cathedral Quarter. As an added bonus, this fabulous prize includes two tickets to see the Irish Premiere and homecoming appearance of leading NI choreographer Oona Doherty’s Navy Blue at The MAC, just a short skip around the corner in Saint Anne’s Square.

Oona Doherty

About Oona Doherty’s Navy Blue

A dark night descends and a group of 12 dancers generate a sense of dread, trapped within a destructive algorithm. Doherty uses movement, music and colour to reflect pain and loneliness, and the struggles and exploitation of working-class people. Often angry and defiant, Doherty and her dancers ultimately search for wider communal healing and redemption. Featuring music from Sergeï Rachmaninoff and Jamie xx this compelling new production considers where we have been and where we are heading, as it urgently calls for societal change.
