The Big Grill BBQ and Food Festival continues to burn as brightly as ever, with a wave of Irish and international fire-starters set to spark things up at Herbert Park this August.

As the festival enters its second decade, this year sees the return of BBQ superstars and Big Grill favourites including Nick Solares of Meat Life, BBQ author and expert Genevieve Taylor, John Bates of InterStellar BBQ and Ali Clem of la Barbecue.

Regular festival goers can also look forward to the return of the Big Grill restaurant area, where chefs from Bahay, From The Ashes, Hera, Achara, Hang Dai, Pitt Bros, and Reyn will be cooking up a series of exclusive dishes across the weekend.

Expect scorching festival debuts from the likes of American stars of fire and grill Ernest Servantes and David Kirkland of Burnt Bean Co., a much regarded restaurant that recently secured top billing in the Texas Monthly 50 Best BBQ Joints.

Also igniting proceedings are Mursal Saiq of Afghan/British BBQ powerhouse Cue Point LDN, and Kaneda Pen, the Cambodian-born chef and founder of Mamapen, who will be offering Dublin’s diners a chance to sample some bold Khmer dishes.

Away from the bustle, this year’s helping of Offside is graced by the presence of Raquel Acosta, a master jamón carver who hosts an immersive jamón and wine tasting experience across all four days, while Fingal Ferguson of Gubbeen will be treating all comers to a fascinating cheese and beer tasting in the same location.

Herbert Park, Thurs Aug 14th – Sun Aug 17th.
