Following a year that witnessed a series of epic trivia battles, a cluster of clever team names and some exceptional prizes, the balloons were out at the Tolka House in Glasnevin recently as their weekly Smartphone Pub Quiz celebrated its first birthday.
With rounds dedicated to music, film, TV, general trivia and sports, those who fancy putting their grey matter through its paces are invited to test their wits and join the clever clog revolution this summer.
We’re told that the rules are simple – it’s free to play and the fastest finger wins.
With refreshing brews and plenty of banter, the evening is pretty much guaranteed to get quizzical booze-hounds safely over the mid-week hump.
It certainly beats a night in front of the telly. 9pm Wednesdays.
