National Cinema Weekend lands on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September, with almost every cinema in the Republic getting involved and tickets from just €4. Yep, €4.
After previous National Cinema Days pulled in more than 200,000 admissions in a single day, the big-screen celebration has listened to audiences and it’s now levelled up to a full weekend.
Expect new releases, Irish films, previews, cult favourites and plenty of reasons to turn your phone off and disappear into the dark for a couple of hours.
Cinema-goers across will also be able to benefit from additional screenings catering to diverse audiences including sensory screenings along with additional subtitled and captioned screenings at various cinemas

Old School Gold
The Lobster, Terminator 2, Star Trek IV, Cars and The Hunger Games are all getting another big-screen outing.
Irish On The Big Screen
Celtic Utopia, Everybody Digs Bill Evans, The Quiet Girl / An Cailín Ciúin, Báite and Sanitorium.
Previews: Saoirse Ronan stars in Bad Apples, while The Young Offenders returns for its 10th anniversary.
There’ll also be sensory, subtitled and captioned screenings at participating venues, so there’s plenty of choice for different audiences.
