The STORYTELLERS are Antonio Forcione on acoustic guitar and Cenk Erdoğan on fretless guitar.
Antonio Forcione is renowned for his adventurous approach to the guitar, using the instrument in its entirety, both melodically and percussively. Forcione loves to experiment with sounds, timbres and techniques. Often referred to as the “Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar” Forcione is celebrated for his technical brilliance and lightning-fast hands.The Guardian (U.K), in a five-star review, praised him as “one of the great acoustic guitarists.”
Meanwhile, Cenk Erdoğan, a virtuoso of both the fretless guitar and the tambur, brings a distinct Eastern flavor to the duo’s sound. His music draws from the rich traditions of Anatolia and fuses them with the improvisational language of contemporary jazz. Based in Istanbul, Erdoğan is a composer and arranger known for his deeply expressive, genre-blending style. Expect blends of jazz, flamenco, African, Brazilian and contemporary music.
Together, Forcione and Erdoğan create a sound that is unmistakably their own—jazzy, dynamic, and refreshingly original.
