Never one for resting on their laurels, The Back Page have come up with a new initiative for 2020; a book club where punters can donate their old books for a free drink, exchange them for something else or borrow a book and drop it back. It’s being run on a goodwill basis, with the hope of getting more people reading in the new year.
In conjunction with the Book Club, The Back Page has committed to running at least one book or fanzine event per month. For its debut launch, the bar has enlisted Red Inc, the longest running fanzine in the League of Ireland. The fanzine reached its 2oth anniversary last year and shows no signs of stopping. The night will be hosted by Gavin White. Entry is free but make sure to book your seat in advance at info@the-back-page.com
