Kiwanuka is a soul brother who is finally getting to tour his Mercury prize-winning and Grammy nominated album. A lush, immersive album of politicised soul, it examined themes of faith, self-doubt and civil rights with samples from the late civil rights leader and activist John Lewis. The Londoner of Ugandan origin will be bringing lush orchestrations and band crescendos in tow. And do not miss his support in the form of Gabriels who released two spell-blindingly brilliant EPs last year in the shape of Love and Hate in a Different Time and Bloodline. This bears all the hallmarks of a wonderful double-bill. Time is a healer.
