After the tremendous trilogy of Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach, Gorillaz fell to earth a little with a well reviewed but somewhat muted fan reaction to Humanz last year. Andromeda, in particular, is up there with their best. However, none of this should take away from the inevitable live jamboree of collaborations offset by Jamie Hewlett’s animations. Watching De La Soul, who support, taking to the stage for Momentz will be one of many treats for Albarn’s army. And remember it’s a Saturday show so most folks can kick back without the repercussions of work the next morning.
