If you’re a fan of Fela Kuti, this is for you. One of the 20th century’s most iconic artists, the Afrobeat star is being hailed at The Sugar Club in October, with a special tribute evening. First up they’re showing the documentary Music Is The Weapon, shot in Lagos with the artist in 1982. Then Hypnotic Brass Ensemble will be playing some of Kuti’s hits, followed up by DJs spinning more of his hits, as well as more great African music.
