Founded in 2017, Echoes proudly celebrates the life and work of one of Ireland’s most celebrated writers, Maeve Binchy (1939–2012), and her contemporaries. As one of Ireland’s best loved authors, the reach of Maeve’s writing can be evidenced in the translation of her work into more than forty languages. Every October in Dalkey, Maeve’s home town, Echoes is a celebration that is programmed and hosted by Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre in collaboration with Maeve’s husband Gordon Snell, and celebrates Maeve’s writing and legacy.
