In the bar in Bunbeg House in Gweedore a few weekends ago, we stuck up a brief conversation with the barmaid. When we inquired if she was in Dublin recently or planning on heading down (isn’t that what all Dubliners do?), she told us she was on her way to Dublin Comic Con. Now in its sixth year, it brings the best of popular culture and sci-fi to town. Covering everything from movies and TV shows to comics, cosplay and gaming, it’s also a collectible hunting ground.
Guests include Lord of the Rings’ Karl Urban, Michael ‘Worf’ Dorn and former Superman Dean Cain.
