Jam Park finally realises its potential in the presence of a DJ who doesn’t shirk from the ‘value for money’ concept. Chandler is a house music icon who has been a DJ since a time in which it was considered a burgeoning art form. “How you start and how you finish is the most important thing. It’s like a movie: even if it’s a great movie, if it ends like shit the whole movie feels like it was shit,” says Chandler. “So I treat it like it’s a living room environment – it’s not just me DJing, it’s all of us.”
One can safely assume there will be no filler in the tracks in between. By the way, the Guinness World Record for DJ set length is held by Nigerian DJ Obi who played for 240 hours in the summer of 2016. He began to suffer hallucinations on the fifth day.
