Vocalist, composer, and producer Haley Fohr has been
Circuit des Yeux since she was eighteen years old. Haley Fohr’s music strikes a unique balance between the personal and universal. As Circuit des Yeux she creates music that embodies the complexity of human emotions, juxtaposing tenderness and grief, ecstasy and horror, using sounds as representations of the emotional spectrum that we all experience. Born in the year of the Dragon in Indiana’s own “Star City” — that’s Lafayette, IN — she released records regularly over the past decades; four full-length albums, along with several mini-albums and singles. Meanwhile, she has played shows everywhere, touring all the time. She has been based in Chicago since 2012.
With a backing band of talented musicians (Cooper Crain, Tyler Damon and Andrew Scott Young) along for the ride, the community ethos of a full band performance absolutely strengthens the message, and Haley Fohr’s voice, a four-octave howling range, manages to stand taller than one could possibly imagine when witnessed live.
