Subject events bring together a collection of international techno acts and influential DJs for a weekend at District 8.
Headlining is enigmatic Detroit Techno/House musician Moodymann. Inspired by the energy of Blaxploitation movies and the grit and soul of his beloved Detroit, Moodymann has a distinctive sound that’s been described as one of the most compelling in electronic music.
Other exciting acts include Icelandic artist Bjarki, whose roots in the House scene are still in evidence despite recent forays into jungle, breakbeat and rave, and Germany’s Michael Mayer, with his ambient-experimental techno sound.
