First presented at the Galway Cartoon Festival and now arriving here, The Instituto Cervantes presents this exhibition of 40 works by 20 artists which celebrates the long-running Injuve Comics Awards and offers a whirlwind journey from the late ‘90s through the history of this artistic form of expression in Spain. “This is not just a lineal itinerary, it transcends that; the exhibition establishes a dialogue between past and future using the relationship between the pieces, showing the cartoonists’ evolution from the moment they received Injuve’s support until the present, by focusing on the contrast between the young artist’s work and the more recent pieces for each exhibitor.”
