We are the Makers: Eamonn Doyle in conversation with Donal Dineen

We Are The Makers is a new long-form audio documentary series focusing on the work of contemporary Irish artists and their practice. Commissioned by Solas Nua in Washington DC, these shows are written and presented by broadcaster and DJ Dónal Dineen. Built around extensive interviews with some of Ireland’s most eminent artists, these quarterly transmissions are part portrait, part diary, travelogue and soundscape. With the makers as our guide, these are deep-dives into back catalogues and entire bodies of work.

He starts his audio voyage in the company of, one of our finest photographers, Eamonn Doyle who reveals his early childhood undertakings and schemes such as puppeteering and coining it with stolen porn mags before he set upon his music and photographic adventures.
