Ladies and gentlemen of Ireland, the President would like to hear your ideas.

As part of his first presidential seminar, ‘Being Young And Irish’, President Higgins is inviting young Irish people aged 17 to 26 to offer him their vision for Ireland and asking them to think and speak of how that vision might be achieved.

Using any medium they feel fitting, such as narrative, song, poetry, photography, video or audio recordings, young people are invited to put forth their vision of and for Ireland, taking in what it means to be a young person in Ireland now and how it might be in the future.

As well as the online effort, the President will be hosting a series of face-to-face regional workshops around the country.

You can find all the details over at the seminar’s official Facebook page – www.facebook.com/youngandirish

Alternately, keep an eye on http://www.president.ie/ and #beingyoungandIrish on Twitter.
