The Mime, the Model and the Dupe is the debut exhibition by this Montreal based artist. “The very essence of a sculpture is that it has to stand on its own,” says Blass. “You can have an idea but it has to have a base. It has to be raised, have a way of standing.” This selection of works engage with images, gestures and forms related to the body. There’s surprise and distortion at every twist and turn. These stand up and stack up.
