Orla Langan has always been boundary-pushing with her collections. And now she’s embracing technology in their presentation too. Her recent collaboration is with Arvydas Zapivalovas, a 3D sampling and digital fashion expert based in Dublin, to create stunning render videos of two looks from Orla’s current collection.

“It is a shift in the design process but the garments are already handmade so that they could be rendered more accurately in the digital space and so the craft of drawing through making is not lost,” says Langan.

Arvydas specializes in using CLO3D, a leading 3D fashion design software, to create realistic and accurate digital samples of garments. This allows fashion designers to visualize their designs in a 3D environment, identify any potential problems, and make necessary adjustments before the garments are physically produced.

This sustainable collection of genderless clothing consists of signature deconstructed silhouettes as well as reworked pieces from the archives and will be available soon.
