Teutonic influences abound as bartenders across the city dust off their steins and slip into their leiderhosen in honour of Oktoberfest, which gets into its annual groove over the next few weeks.
Expect lots of flags and bunting, and plenty of banter around large communal tables as The Circular morphs into what’s being billed as ‘Rialto’s premiere Oktoberfest Beer Hall’ over the weekend of Friday September 25th and Saturday September 26th.
Their inimitable take on the traditional Bavarian feast centres on giant Swabien-style Pretzels and generous servings of Curry Wurst, accompanied by a great selection of refreshing bevvies. Tickets cost €15 and include a half litre Stein of beer or glass of house wine and those all-important pretzels.
Further afield Tallaght meets Munich as Priory Market launches into three days of celebrations from September 24th – 26th, where they’ll be dishing up tasty Bratwurst served straight from the BBQ and pouring a nice range of authentic German-style beers including Weissbier, Helles, Bock, and Pils brewed onsite and served in litre sized steins.
Meanwhile, Saturday October 10th sees Rascals host Rocktoberfest 2026, a one-day celebration of German lager, Irish craft beer, great food, and mood music that leans heavily into rock, punk, emo and alternative classics.
