Think you’ve got the magic beans? Then clear the calendar and warm your hands as Vice Coffee play host to this year’s Irish Coffee Championship at Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street.

Taking place between 7pm and 9pm on Sunday November 23rd, the competition sees the city’s sharpest bartenders, baristas and kitchen-counter maestros battling it out to crown the king or queen of the perfect pour – cream float, whiskey kick, and all.

Ahead of time there are a few rules to consider before working up your proposed Irish Coffee recipe and sending it off to hello@vicecoffeeinc.com by Nov 16th at 6pm.

Recipes must include Teeling Small Batch and El Placer Coffee from Imbibe Coffee. Entries are open now, with the top six invited to go head-to-head on the day. Tickets are just €10 and include an Irish Coffee on arrival – because spectators deserve a little spirit too.

And a word for those who like to get their festive planning underway a little early… Vice have just dropped their fabulous Christmas Cocktail Kits with concoctions including Irish Coffee and Espresso Martini, also now available in decaf for the sleep-conscious.

Pick them up at Vice Coffee, tucked inside Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street.
