Eighteen months on from the launch of their lockdown inspired food truck venture Griolladh, furlough entrepreneurs Jacob Long and Jack Brennan have finally secured their first bricks and mortar café on Thomas Street.

By all accounts they are already feeling very much at home at their new base in the heart of the Liberties, where they now offer dine-in, take away, and delivery options seven days a week.

As an added bonus, a new central prep kitchen enables them to work with Chef Alison Tierney to expand on the culinary creativity that has made their Hot Gourmet Sandwiches such a success.

A strong commitment to quality sees them prepping and cooking meats, sauces and fillings from scratch, while making full use of incredible ingredients such as Tartine sourdough bread to create dishes that really pack a punch.

These include a lip-smacking Ham Sandwich made from their own unique mix of smoked hocks, gammon and bacon collar, while the expanded Griolladh menu also features breakfast, baked goods, sausage rolls, hot drinks and indulgent treats.

New additions include a Bacon & Brown Sauce Scroll and a Mini Apple Tarte Tatin, with plans for a Vegan Hot Sandwich option already well advanced.

Meanwhile their popular mobile food trucks can now be found in four locations across Dublin, including New Street in Malahide, Grand Canal Street and Dundrum Town Centre.
