The second series of The Traitors may have run its course, but we’re left with the lasting memory of a murder in plain sight resulting in the demise of one of the show’s most impressive characters.
Turns out that Faithful Janet Takuz, the self-styled ‘proud owner of a bitchy little fringe’ is also the proud owner of Yan Takuz and the bright spark behind those striking glassware designs at The Big Romance.
She recently refreshed the walls at the northside bar with a hand drawing of her iconic Good Time Gal illustration, while her glassy creations are available for purchase and collection at the Parnell Street bar.
The crew there recently tapped Heathen, which makes for a perfect sipping companion while checking out the artworks and watching the world go by.
Meanwhile, the Big Romance’s Halloween offering sees Nialler 9 and guest Dave Balfe getting together as part of the bar’s Listen Closely series, for a discussion about a modern classic – the influential and haunting Untrue by Burial.
They’ll be chatting about the record, which captures something of the sound of London after dark, while playing the ghostly album on vinyl through the bar’s sublime high-quality Toby Hatchett sound system.
