The Swiss coffee brand beloved of George Clooney marks St. Patrick’s Day in style by hosting the Award-winning Bar 1661 at their Duke Street store as part of a unique four-day celebration this weekend.
In a move that sees their flagship Duke Street boutique transformed into an elegant cocktail lounge, Nespresso is inviting coffee aficianados to drop in and enjoy a selection of inspired non-alcoholic coffee cocktails ranging from a classic Irish Coffee to delicious Nespresso Martini. The exciting fusion of tradition and innovation features a variety of gorgeous beverages crafted using Nespresso’s decaf range, with an opportunity to sample two flavoursome new additions; Double Espresso Chiaro Decaffeinato and Sweet Vanilla Decaffeinato.
Speaking about the festive collaboration, Dave Mulligan, founder of the iconic Bar 1661, said “Coffee has been such a huge part of our drinks strategy since launching BAR 1661. When the opportunity to work with Nespresso, celebrating the best of Irish culture, drinks and St. Patrick’s Day came to us, we couldn’t say no!”
Anna Lundstrom, CEO Nespresso Ireland and UK added that the global coffee brand was thrilled to be celebrating this country’s heritage in fresh and unexpected ways, and was looking forward to “showcasing our decaffeinated coffee collection through 1661’s creative lens.”
Beyond the exceptional drinks on offer, the four-day celebration on Duke Street will also showcase and support emerging Irish music talent, with live performances each day from some of the city’s talented local artists.
The event takes place from Friday March 14th to Monday March 17th. Pop in for the coffee, and stay for what promises to be a dynamic and celebratory atmosphere to celebrate St. Patrick’s weekend.
