Those interested in packing their own lunches and reducing waste from takeaway cartons can now avail of some colourful and functional new additions to the Designist range.
The city-centre purveyor of remarkable gifts and bright ideas has started stocking Bini boxes, bowls and cutlery sets, perfect for enhancing takeaway meals and eliminating the use of disposable dishes.
The eco-friendly products were devised by founders Perrine and Alice of French brand Bini, to combat the amount of waste generated by takeaway dishes, and to cut down on the amount of food going into domestic bins.
The meticulously designed range includes bowls and cutlery crafted from a combination of wood pulp and eco polymers made from reused oil salvaged from restaurants.
Manufactured in France by ESAT, a social enterprise that helps people with learning disabilities live independently, the makers hope that their new products will help encourage Dubliners to pack their own lunches for work or outdoor dining as the weather improves.
Find them at Designist in South Great George’s Street, Dublin 2.
