Crash Course on Ireland is a fun and informal two-hour introduction to Irish history and culture, presented by two qualified Dublin tour guides.
Aimed at visitors, newcomers to Dublin and locals who fancy brushing up on their Irish history over a pint, the duo take visitors and locals through the big stories that shaped Ireland – from the Celts, Vikings and Normans through the Famine, 1916 and modern Ireland – alongside Irish music, sport, writers, language and pub culture.
Far from a classroom lecture, this is a relaxed, interactive pub experience where you can ask questions, enjoy a drink and get to know the story behind the Ireland you’re visiting.

Crash Course on Ireland is presented by Dublin Docent, a new independent historical tour company, in partnership with Trasna Colm, an independent Dublin tour guide.
Dublin Docent also offers private Dublin walking tours tailored to families, groups and individual interests.
Every Thursday during October, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at The Turks Head, Parliament Street. Dublin 2. Tickets here.
