The coming June Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of the country’s largest and most exciting gardening festival as Bord Bia Bloom celebrates innovation, nature, and sustainable living at the Visitor Centre at the Phoenix Park in Dublin.
One of the highlights of the energetic and inspirational weekend sees popular Irish influencer Maria Harte lighting up the stage with a brace of dynamic cooking demonstrations, as she showcases the incredible variety, texture and flavours that European mushrooms can bring to any dish.
The advocate of ‘cooking from the heart’ best known for sharing simple but impactful recipes with followers across a variety of online platforms, will be inspiring home chefs to make European mushrooms the culinary stars of the dishes they’re tucking into this season.
She’ll be at the ‘Horticulture is Life’ stand showing festival goers how to recreate her signature Chorizo and Mushroom Picnic Pies at home, as part of two live cooking demos onstage at Bloom on Thursday May 29th.
She describes the recipe as “a perfect dish for any picnic or light lunch with family and friends this summer”, and her appearance at Bloom is part of a three year campaign with the GEPC to increase awareness about European mushroom production and distribution and to promote the consumption of mushrooms across nine European countries.
Bord Bia Bloom Festival takes place at The Visitor Centre in The Phoenix Park from May 29th to June 2nd. Maria Hart’s live cooking demos in partnership with the GEPC will take place onstage at Bloom on Thursday May 29th, at 2.30pm and 3.00pm.
