Ten euro pints landed in Temple Bar this month.
A receipt which circulated on WhatsApp before hitting socials showed a customer charged €9.95 for a pint of Heineken and the same amount for a HopHouse at Gogarty’s.
The bar is no stranger to the “these pints are too expensive” discourse having been name-checked in 2013 and 2016 by multiple other publications for having egregiously priced pints.
Here’s hoping it doesn’t trickle down to our locals.
