The charity First Fortnight challenges mental health prejudice through arts and cultural action. As the annual festival which places the spotlight firmly on mental health makes a welcome return in 2020, we’ve been leafing through the programme. Five to watch out for here…

Poet Stephen James Smith hosts Therapy Sessions, where he’ll be joined by music collaborators HamsandwicH and a host of spoken word and music performers. Catch Tebi Rex, Laurie Shaw and CMAT on January 10th, while the second iteration on Jan 17th sees performances by Mango X Mathman, FYNCH and Denise Chaila.

Batman Needs a Break! 

Multi-disciplinary artist Paul Timoney leads a creative workshop exploring when the caped crusader needs to cast off his worries and unwind (ages 5-12).
