Dublin Art Rock braintrust, Cloud Castle Lake, like to keep things somewhat low-key. Following the swell of praise that followed their meticulously assembled Dandelion EP, the trio took a step back from the limelight, focussing wholly on completing their LONG anticipated debut full length. So, it’s with no small degree of excitement that we welcome their return to the fold with their first Dublin live show since 2016, and it’s a special one at that…
Ballet Átha Cliath is a new short dance performance film by Howard Jones, shot over the course of a day last August in Dublin featuring ballet choreographed by Irish ballerina Zoë Ashe-Browne and features an original score composed by none other than Cloud Castle Lake. Tomorrow night, the band will be performing their soundtrack live, as part of a Ballet Átha Cliath in the Sugar Club. Following the film showing, the band promise to debut a selection of new work set to appear on their upcoming record. If all that wasn’t enticing enough; support on the night come courtesy of one the country’s most exciting new artists – Davy Keohe. Davy’s debut Short Passing Game has comfortably asserted its position as one of the year’s most essential domestic releases – we can’t wait to see what Davy has in store for this special full-band performance.
