Could this competition unearth another Rodrigo y Gabriela, Glen Hansard, Keywest or Damien Rice? Busking is often an artists gateway to the big-time so it’s nice to see our street entertainers come out of the cold and into the red hot atmosphere of rivalry.
Contenders duel it out every Wednesday from 15 October to 26 November at Buskers Bar for the crown, the neat sum of €5,000 and a full day in a recording studio. Hosted by comedian and actor Eric Lalor, these Temple Bar Hotel-based events will feature buskers from Ireland and beyond.
Battle of The Buskers takes place at Buskers Bar, Temple Bar Weekly on Wednesdays 7–11 p.m. from 15 October to 26 October.
