‘A space where a love of coffee and music can be mutually enjoyed.’
That’s the promise of newcomer Wavetable, a new boutique specialty coffee and record store which has just opened in Drumcondra this week.
Initially offering takeaway, Wavetable will be serving a range of specialty coffees and delicious vegan cakes, supplied by local and Irish suppliers. The House Roaster is Calendar Coffee.
The space itself has been described as ‘A considered minimalist space inspired by Nordic design’, but Dublin’s music and coffee fans will have to wait until after current restrictions are lifted before they can check it out properly and fully immerse themselves in all it has to offer.
“There is a great appetite for music and coffee alike in Ireland, and we are delighted to be able to create a community for like minded individuals,” says Co-founder Ross Chaney.
As part of their effort to support the Irish arts industry and Irish musicians, Wavetable are working with a range of Irish artists across a spectrum of music genres, offering the store as an outlet to sell their records. Lankum and Junior Brother are just two of the artists who will be stocked there with a new webshop on the way soon.
Under the current government guidelines they are open for takeaway only (coffee, coffee goods and cakes). Two people inside at a time and masks are de riguer.
