SUMMARY:Live Blues and Jazz at Arthur’s Pub\, Dublin - Julyo
DESCRIPTION:Based in Ireland\, GRAMMY-nominated musician\, producer\, and songwriter Julyo is at Arthur’s Blues Bar in Dublin 8 this March\, in an intimate contemporary blues live performance\, featuring original material from his recent work\, presented in a close-room\, small-venue setting.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Julyo \nJulyo is an GRAMMY®-Nominated musician and producer whose work is rooted in blues\, shaped by jazz phrasing\, and influenced by Mediterranean melodic sensibilities. His music emphasizes tone\, restraint\, and narrative flow\, favouring feel and space over technical display. Whether performing solo or with an ensemble\, the focus remains on musical conversation and emotional clarity. \nBased in Ireland\, Julyo has developed a reputation for live performances that prioritise listening-room dynamics rather than high-volume presentation. His approach draws from traditional blues language while remaining contemporary in form\, allowing room for improvisation and interaction between musicians. The result is a sound that feels grounded and personal rather than retro or stylised. \nIn recent years\, Julyo’s work has included studio recordings and international collaborations\, alongside a consistent presence on the live circuit. His performances are often described as intimate and atmospheric\, shaped as much by the room and the audience as by the material itself. \n\nJulyo performs at Arthur’s Pub 28 Thomas Street\, Dublin 8 on Thursday\, 12 March 2026\nDoors: 7:30pm | Show: 8:30pm\n\n\nTickets: €18 via Eventbrite\n\nTo learn more about Julyo’s work see his social media channels:\n\nInstagram instagram.com/JulyoOfficial \nYouTube youtube.com/@Julyo  \nOfficial Website JulyoMusic.com

SUMMARY:Revolve Featuring: Telekura & iNNUENDO
DESCRIPTION:The Grand Social‘s late night Thursday showcase club night for new Irish talent hits pay dirt as the brilliant Telekura join forces with iNNUENDO for a fascinating double header. Telekura was named after a Japanese telephone-based dating service and blends maximalist synths and velvety vocals to create 90s-tinged pop songs with a whiff of psychedelia. The band’s core consists of seasoned musicians: Rachel\, a Malaysian-born singer/songwriter and former front-person of Lost Weekend\, and Stephen\, a songwriter who founded Irish indie quartet We Should Be Dead\, with both finding their perfect pop groove within the new outfit. \nDrawing inspiration from alt and art-rock icons like Radiohead\, Kate Bush\, and David Bowie\, iNNUENDO weaves in the melodic charm of indie and dance favourites like The Strokes and LCD Soundsystem. \nThe Grand Social \nThursday Feb 12th\, Doors: 10pm. \nthegrandsocial.ie

SUMMARY:Tradfest: Burnchurch
DESCRIPTION:Burnchurch are one of those bands that feel like they’ve arrived fully formed. A bilingual five-piece from Kilkenny\, they blend muscular original songs with fresh\, fearless takes on much-loved trad — all rooted in a deep respect for the Irish language. \nThe band is a family affair\, made up of Ó Casaide siblings Sadhbh\, Síofra\, Éanna and Ruairí\, joined by Thomastown drummer Ciarán Ó Dwyer. Their debut original track won the 2FM Gaeltacht Tí Contest\, quickly followed by Ringwalk\, written for Katie Taylor’s 3Arena bout in 2023 — a moment that pushed them firmly into the national spotlight. \nSince then\, it’s been festival after festival: Electric Picnic\, Féile na Gealaí\, Féile na Fuaime and a headline slot at Oireachtas na Samhna. \nNext stop: TradFest Dublin\, where Burnchurch hit the stage at the Abbey Tavern\, Howth on January 24th at 3pm. Expect energy\, authenticity and plenty of ceol agus craic — plus the launch of Samba na hÉireann\, a joyful trad-meets-Brazilian rhythm crossover. Kilkenny to Copacabana? We’re in! \nTickets here.

SUMMARY:Stay Human Collective Fundraising Concert
DESCRIPTION:A fundraising concert by the Stay Human Collective will take place on Wednesday April 30th in Whelan’s Dublin\, featuring a host of renowned Irish artists. All proceeds will go to the Stay Human School in Jabalia\, Northern Gaza\, which currently provides education for 50 children as well as essential food\, fresh water\, baby supplies\, and financial support to the local community. \nFunds raised will support the school’s day-to-day operations and provide essential humanitarian support to the community during this ongoing crisis. Beyond academic learning\, the school serves as a place where children can rebuild friendships and find psychological support in a safe environment amid the devastation. \nThe fundraising event will feature performances from veteran Dublin band Sack\, chart-topping singer-songwriter Mundy\, Wexford-based group Novatone\, solo artist Alice Jago\, and Brian Brannigan of critically acclaimed A Lazarus Soul. \nComedian Kevin Gildea will be keeping things on track throughout the course of the evening as MC\, while Dublin artist Stefan Murphy will perform a specially written song ‘Prayer for the Palestinian people’. \n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nView this post on Instagram\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nA post shared by STEFAN MURPHY – HOSPITAL VERSES (@stefanmurphymusic) \n\n\n \nSpokesperson Moira Cassidy\, who is organizing the Dublin concert\, said: “We’re so grateful to all the artists who will perform on April 30th in Whelan’s to help raise funds for the Stay Human Collective in Jabalia. We really want to support the community in their mission to keep Palestinian children’s dreams alive through education. Education offers a form of hope in the midst of the trauma and suffering these children have and are enduring. The school is basically just four walls in a bombed-out area in Gaza\, but since opening in September it has provided not just education\, but distraction from the horrors they are enduring. In the school\, these young children\, many of whom are orphaned and have medical or psychological issues\, can have some semblance of normality. The Stay Human school has become an essential space in their lives which we want to help continue and expand for the other children in the community who are eager to attend.” \n \nThe Stay Human Collective began as a grassroots mutual aid initiative in mid-2024 with members from Ireland\, Italy\, the UK\, Egypt\, and Palestine who started crowdfunding as an emergency response to provide humanitarian aid to families in Jabalia. The project evolved when local team members in Gaza transformed part of a damaged building into a classroom\, recruited three teachers\, and gathered educational supplies. Since September 2024\, the school has offered Arabic\, English\, and Mathematics to children in the community. \nAbed\, who works on the Stay Human initiative in Jabalia with his wife and teacher\, Aya\, explains what the school means to the students: “The Stay Human school gives the children hope in darkness. It gives them a chance to learn\, play and socialise with their peers. It’s a chance for some feeling of normal life. We are grateful to all our donors and especially to the Irish people who have stood in solidarity with us.” \n The Stay Human Collective Fundraiser Concert takes place at Whelan’s on Wednesday 30th April 2025. Tickets are €25.50 and are on sale now at whelanslive.com. Doors open at 7.30pm.
