Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis—his deeply personal prison letter—is the focus of a new film installation at MoLI, marking 125 years since his death. The exhibition presents Wilde’s raw emotions, from sorrow to philosophical insight, through performances by twelve LGBTQ+ writers, artists, and activists, including Naoise Dolan, Seán Hewitt, and Tonie Walsh.
MoLI, in partnership with Ebow Digital, brings fresh perspectives on Wilde’s life, highlighting his struggles, artistic depth, and enduring love for Bosie.
The 60-minute installation immerses visitors in Wilde’s words, revealing a side beyond his famous wit.
