Of the tens of thousands of drunken revellers that crowd Dublin's streets every St Patrick's Day, few actually reside in the capital. Avoiding town, and the hordes of ‘half Irish' frat boys that line the streets is an unwritten rule every March 17th. Luckily the organisers behind last year's YES Festival have decided to provide us with a home away from home for the day. Following up from their hugely successful autumn edition, they are commandeering the East point Business Park for a special mid-week instalment of their shindig. A short dart trip from Connolly station; YES festival is a one-day, three stage festival that has recruited an excellent cross section of the city's Djs, live acts, and emerging producers. Housed in the epicentre pub complex, the 2009 version was a highlight of last years calendar, an accomplishment the promoters will surely look to build on. The Über reasonable 25-euro price tag includes bus transfers to and from Clontarf dart station; so banish your fears of being stranded in a business park come nightfall.
