Wolf Parade - Expo 86

Album Review 02 June 2010

Wolf Parade

Wolf Parade are meant to be dead now - having followed up the best yelpy indie album of the noughties with the damningly decent At Mount Zoomer, the band should have grabbed a stub for an ATP-curated reunion in 6 years time and gone their separate side-project ways. Rather, we're lumbered with the myth-shattering nothingness of Expo 86, an exanimate exploration of all the gammiest tendencies of the band's composite parts. Not bad, but not right.
