Bitesize: Summer Suppers at Charlotte Quay

Posted May 28, 2018 in Food & Drink Features

The lovely folk at popular waterside venue, Charlotte Quay are making the most of their enviable location at the water’s edge this Bank Holiday Sunday, 3rd June with the first in a series of salubrious Summer Suppers featuring a delightful 6 course seafood tasting menu.

The evening begins with refreshing Cocktails on the terrace at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock, accompanied by a side of summer in the form of Carlingford Oyster with Mignonette Sauce, House Ceviche and Tempura Soft Shell Crab.

Proceedings then move indoors with plenty to further tantalise the tastebuds in the comfortable environs of the popular quayside venue.

We love the sound of the alluring Irish Crab Croquette with shellfish aioli, Steamed Clams & Cockles with Manzanila sherry, coriander & lime and gorgeous Gambas Pil Pil.

Main courses feature a mouthwatering Red Mullet Escabeche with fennel,  Chargrilled & Confit Octopus with crisp potatoes, capers & paprika and delicious Roast Monkfish Tail with salt baked celeriac and brown butter.

As the evening draws in, a gorgeous set Pimms Jelly rounds off the tasting menu, setting things up nicely for the start of a long summer’s evening by the water.

All this and cool tunes courtesy of  Tiny Choons, sure what else would you be doing of a bank holiday Sunday?
