We’re big fans of the kind of fare that provides perfect insulation during the chilly winter months, so we were delighted to hear about the warming menu on offer at Storyboard Café.

The quayside newcomer has set about revitalizing old-school dishes such as the sausage sambo and beans on toast, giving these traditional mealtime staples a decidedly tasty makeover.

We’re salivating at the prospect of their Beans and Toast, which sees harissa baked beans teamed with preserved lemon yoghurt, pink pickled onions and Le Levain sourdough, with a choice of gubbeen chorizo or fried eggs as optional extras. Fancy!
