Legion

"The last time God lost faith in man, he sent a flood. This time, he sent angels." Fed up with man's messing around on Earth, God sends the angels to exterminate us, and cause a global apocalypse while they're here.

Only Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany)  sees hope in the current crop of human kind and switches his allegiance to them. Holed up in the Mojave dessert with a bunch of misfits, which inculde Dennis Quaid, Michael and his gang are the last remaining hope for humanity.
