Saturday Night Live’s Rob Schneider, the male gigalo, is on in Vicar Street this July. The hollywood comedian is probably worth a visit if it’s national stereotypes that you so crave, just don’t tell him his directorial attempts are crap or you’ll be publicly bitch-slapped, slandered on Jay Leno and finally have that long-forgotten story you wrote in your pre-pubescent years stolen and made into a film. I can only hope that the audience in Vicar St will have the pleasure of being bombarded by every single one of the (goodness, near 50) voices by the irrevocably uncharismatic Schneider. The result of Schneider’s cringe-inducing persistance in the enertainment world seems to largely consist of skits which would really only be comical under the influence. Under a heavy, heavy influence. And at that point, they might just be frightening instead.

Ah well, at least there’s a bar.
