Michael McIntyre

Michael McIntyre began his stand-up career in the late 90s and received mostly frosty reviews - luckily for him, things dramatically improved. In 2009, Michael played live to half a million people in 54 arenas, including a record breaking six nights at Wembley and four at the London's O2. Live and Laughing became the fastest selling debut stand-up DVD and Michael McIntyre: Hello Wembley has sold 1.3 million copies to date. In 2009 McIntyre performed live to half a million people and won Best Stand-up at The British Comedy Awards. To put it bluntly: people think he's funny.

McIntyre has appeared on live stand-up programmes such as Live at the Apollo and his own show, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Stand-up isn't the only thing McIntyre is good at. He hosted his own show, Michael McInture's Comedy Roadshow on BBC1's primetime Saturday night slot, he's invaded TV panel shows including Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You, been on various radio shows in the UK and now has an upcoming autobiography entitled, ‘Life and laughing - my story'.

McIntyre continues his role as comedy darling with upcoming shows at The Academy on 17th and 18th this August.
